Board of Education Organization & Regular meeting on January 9th, 2020 at 6:30 PM in the Henry Defer Intermediate School cafeteria.
From time to time, when Streetsboro City Schools are not in session, like for professional development day on January 6th, 2020, we are still required to provide transportation to our non-public, private, STEM, and vocational schools. Here’s the schedule for January 6th, 2020.
- Maplewood & BIOMED busing from SMS Parking Lot at 7:15 AM
- Return to SMS Parking Lot around 3 PM
- VCA, St. Pats, LEAP, Seton – normal schedule.
The Streetsboro City School District Board of Education will meet for the purpose of organization on Thursday January 9, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in the Henry Defer Intermediate School, 1895 Annalane Drive, Streetsboro, Ohio 44241. The Regular scheduled Meeting for January 2020 will immediately follow the Organizational Meeting.

The Streetsboro City School District is asking for a sealed proposal for furnishing two new 84-passenger front engine transit buses. A separate proposal for furnishing one new 77-passenger conventional special education bus with 5 wheelchair locations. (more…)
FDA, CDC, and state health authorities are investigating an outbreak of illnesses caused by E. coli O157:H7 in the United States. Epidemiologic, laboratory, and traceback evidence indicates that romaine lettuce from the Salinas, California growing region is a likely source of this outbreak. This notice is active 11/26/2019. As a precaution, our Food Services Department, we served no salad of any kind this week in our cafeterias. (more…)
From time to time, your child may not feel their best. Sometimes, it’s hard to determine when they should stay home from school, or when it’s ok to go. Here’s some guidance from our district nursing team from Akron Children’s Hospital. When in doubt, check with your own local pediatrician for any medical emergency or concern. These same guidelines are true when riding the bus – please do not send your child to school when they’re actively sick. (more…)
