Streetsboro City Schools, in order to continue operating, proposes a 9 mill levy that will generate $4,419,998.00 per year over the next 5 year term in order to fund increasing operational costs. This will be voted on by the general public on May 7th, 2019.
Streetsboro City School District was asked by the Transportation Office of the Ohio School Boards Association to participate in a one-day survey of how many cars or other motorists passed a school bus in the process of picking up or dropping of our students. The City of Streetsboro has agreed to pay the Streetsboro City School District $625,000 to resolve the District’s lawsuit over its claim that the City had failed to make required payments under a revenue sharing agreement through 2017. In exchange, the District has agreed to dismiss its lawsuit. The District and the City further agreed to negotiate a new revenue sharing agreement to address future property tax abatements. (more…)

Flu is a serious contagious disease that can lead to hospitalization and even death. CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) urges you to take the following actions to protect yourself and others from influenza (the flu).
Parents – just as a reminder if your son or daughter has a fever over 100.0 they must be fever free without the aid of any medication, for example ibuprofen or acetaminophen, for 24 hours before returning to school. Please be aware that some sinus/cold medications may also contain a form of ibuprofen/acetaminophen that can mask a fever as well.
The Streetsboro City School District Board of Education will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at 7:30 a.m. at the District Tech Building (Stephenson House) located at 1888 State Route 303, Streetsboro, Ohio, 44241. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss, review and consider approval of school finances.

Dear Students and Families of the Streetsboro City School District:
Last night the Board of Education voted to place a 9 mill operating levy on the ballot in May. If approved by voters, this levy will generate approximately $4,419,998 and cost the homeowner of a $100,000 dollar home approximately $315.00 dollars per year ($26.25 per month). Even if this levy is approved by voters, we will still have to cut approximately $600,000 a year from our budget in order to keep a positive balance, as required by state law. (more…)
