Good Evening Streetsboro Families,
In light of Governor DeWine’s announcement today that all schools will close beginning next week.
We have made the decision to close Streetsboro City Schools beginning tomorrow, Friday 3/13/2020 through 4/3/2020. This includes all district events, practices, and performances.
Additionally all buildings will be closed to all students and staff beginning tomorrow at 3:00PM. Anyone that needs to pick up medication from the school clinics may do so between 8am and noon. Any student needing to pick up materials from their school building may do so before 2:30PM.
Tomorrow, all Streetsboro staff will report at 8:00 am to their respective buildings or departments in order to plan 10 days of lessons and activities to help students maintain their learning. These lessons and activities will be made available on the district website or via the teacher’s Google Classroom beginning next week. It is expected that students complete these activities until school resumes.
We are currently working to reschedule the High School Band trip to Disney for a future date this school year. More information will be coming as details are available.
This situation is very fluid and more information will be provided as it becomes available. The Streetsboro City School District will continue to follow the guidance provided by the Ohio Department of Health, Portage County Health Department, and the Governor’s office.
Thank you for your cooperation during this difficult time. It is critical that we do not panic, make good decisions for your families, and most importantly stay safe.
