With the move to the NEW Middle School, Lindsay Zenker moved over from Henry Defer Intermediate School to become the new Assistant Principal at Streetsboro Middle School. Due to road closures from flooding, buses 34, 32, 14, and 10 will likely run late this afternoon. Hopefully the flooding subsides prior to dismissal.
We’re excited to have Mr. Matt Bryan onboard as our new Principal at Henry Defer Intermediate School, where he leads our staff and students grades 4-5.
Mr. Bryan is originally from a small town in upstate New York called Elmira Heights. While in New York, he completed his undergraduate degree at SUNY Fredonia. After graduating, Mr. Bryan moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where he spent a number of years as a teacher and administrator for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District. While in North Carolina, he completed his master’s degree in school administration from Gardner-Webb University as well earning his National Board Certification in adolescent education.
Before becoming principal at Henry Defer Intermediate School, Mr. Bryan had been an administrator in Maple Heights City Schools and the Cleveland Metropolitan School District since he has been back in Ohio. Additionally, Mr. Bryan recently completed the First Ring Leadership Academy and is currently completing his superintendent’s license from Ashland University.
Mr. Bryan lives in Twinsburg with his wife Erin, who is a 5th grade teacher for the Kenston Local School District. Together they have two sons: Landon, 4, and Dylan 2. They also have a Goldendoodle named Lacey which completes their family.
On a personal level, Mr. Bryan is a huge fan of the Buffalo Bills, New York Yankees and Roger Federer. He highly enjoys watching them compete and enjoys it even more so when they win.

Our first week of school went very smoothly! There were a few bugs and logistical issues that needed to be worked out in the new buildings, but the students adjusted very well. The students are finding their classes with ease and mastering their combination locks. (more…)

We use a student information system called SunGard for all grades, and recording of assignments. You may access the grades through the Home Access Center. If you have questions about accessing the HAC, or accessing any other portion of your student’s grades and expected assignments, contact your child’s teacher directly. (more…)
To more efficiently serve our community we have added an additional Middle School bus to our routing. Our staff has been diligently working over the weekend to reroute and update services. Please look in e-Link for updates. Staff have been on the phone all day to notify parents personally, but have not been able to reach everyone.

Streetsboro City Schools today announced its 2018-2019 program year policy for Free and Reduced-Price Meals for students unable to pay the full price of meals or milk served under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast, After School Care Snack or Special Milk Program. Each school office and the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party. (more…)
