This week we’re taking all the students that ride a bus through mandatory bus evacuation drills. They’re no different than many of the other safety drills we perform at school, like fire and lockdown drills. Practice makes perfect, and making sure our kids know what to do in an emergency is paramount to our overall success as a school distric. (more…)

We’re at the end of the third week of school already, and we wanted to share a few glimpses from inside the Transportation Department, and what goes on in the early morning hours each day (and sometimes late, late nights). (more…)
We know you’re anxious to join us on Wednesday morning, and we are too! Our transportation team have been working non-stop to make sure students are routed, bus stops have been assigned, and everything looks good. There’s still a little work to be done, and we’re on it.
Route changes and tweaks are still being completed as we speak, and we ask for your patience with this project. Keep checking online using the Versatrans E-Link portal for your student’s bus stop information.
Our drivers were assigned their routes today, and we asked them to take a critical look at what we could improve, and where opportunities for efficiency could be found. We expect to tweak each route as we go into the fall months.
However, we don’t expect to make any major changes to the routes in the first few weeks. We have already heard from a number of parents wishing their route could be shorter, or include a specific street, and we’ll do our best to accommodate those requests in time. Likewise with requests for a closer bus stop, etc.
In the meantime, you are encouraged to check your morning pickup time in our online system, available on the transportation website. Please keep in mind that we reserve the right to make changes to this information as we continue to adapt to the changing needs of the student population.
Your login information is your student ID for both username and password, and you are free to set another password after you login the first time. If you don’t know your student ID, please contact the school building directly, not the transportation office. You can also check your Final Forms account for the student ID.
If you don’t see a stop location with pickup time for your student, let us know in writing. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, student ID, the correct pickup location, and we’ll do our best to get it routed in time for school.
Have a great rest of your Monday, and we’ll see you soon. Remember, be at the bus stop about 10-15 minutes early, especially in the first few days while we get the routes settled.
See you Wednesday morning!
