Rocket Updates 10/13/2023

Greetings Rocket Community,

I hope this update finds you well and ready for a break from what seemed to be a rather long week. We are well on our way towards the conclusion of the first quarter already and many of you have participated in parent/teacher conferences. I would like to continue to encourage you to stay active in your child’s education. Our staff is always available to help you navigate your child’s education!

Last week I congratulated and listed all of our senior athletes, cheerleaders, and band members. Whenever I list the names of specific students, I always fear I will leave someone’s name off the list. Well, my fear became a reality as I unintentionally left off the name of one of our senior band members.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate senior band student, Aiden Sadowski. Aiden is one of our very talented drum majors and you can see him help lead the band on Friday nights. Aiden, sorry for leaving you off the list last week, and congratulations on your accomplishments!

Many of you might be aware of the situations unfolding in Israel, Palestine, and the Gaza Strip. As a school district, we condemn violence of any kind against children and their families, regardless of where it occurs. Please support your child by facilitating an open dialog with them, and reach out to our teams like school psychologists, school counselors, or principals if you need support.

Finally, on a more positive note, I would like to congratulate the Girls’ Soccer team on winning the MAC championship game Wednesday night against Cloverleaf. The game was a thriller, and our Rockets were victorious in winning in overtime by a score of 2-1! If you see one of our soccer athletes, be sure to congratulate them on this accomplishment.

I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing long weekend. Recharge those batteries and as always,

Go Rockets!
Sincerely,

Mike Daulbaugh
Superintendent
