🚀 Rocket Updates – 29 APR 2022

Good afternoon and welcome to the weekend!

It looks like we are going to have nice weather on Saturday but Sunday looks to be a bit wet. Make sure you get outside tomorrow and enjoy the sunshine.

Tonight our senior class is attending Prom at Windows on the River in Cleveland. It looks to be a perfect night for our seniors and they will have a very nice view of Lake Erie.

I look forward to hearing about it and seeing some pictures or our Senior Class all dressed up. Good luck tonight and please be safe!

This year is the first year our senior class had the option to participate in the Senior Project. Over 75 students chose to job shadow for the remaining weeks of school in a potential career field.

This is an outstanding opportunity for our students to actually experience a job in person. Hats off to the high school staff for designing and implementing this new program.

Finally, Graduation will be held in our high school stadium on the evening of May 24. Please be aware that the entire high school campus will be off limits so that we have time to prepare.

The next few weeks at the middle school will be busy as well. Here are some important dates to remember:

  • 6th Grade: Mohican Adventures the last week at SMS
  • 7th Grade: Field Day May 26th
  • 8th Grade: Promotion May 27th 9:30-11:00

It will be very important for parents to watch for updates from every building as the school year concludes.

In closing, I would like to let everyone know that next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. I would encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher(s) and offer them some “kudos” for a job well done. It’s also Bus Driver Appreciation Week in the State of Ohio. Thanks to both teachers and bus drivers for the excellent service they provide each day!

The past few years have been extremely difficult for our staff and I am sure they would appreciate well-wishes. Thank you to all of our staff!

I hope everyone has a super weekend and Go Rockets!

Sincerely,

Mike Daulbaugh
