🚀 Rocket Updates – 8 APR 2022

Happy Friday Rocket Families!

Welcome to the weekend. The students and teachers have been actively engaged in their learning this past week. With the added “stress” of the required state tests and end-of-course exams at many levels, spring sports practices, and even little league baseball and soccer ramping up, I am certain we’re all ready for a couple of days away. It’s so important for our kids to take full advantage of their time off.

Every year about this time, we in education can see the finish line for another school year looming ahead. There never seems to be enough time to get everything done between now and June.

With all this said, taking full advantage of a weekend with some downtime ought to be a priority for all of us. I recently found this quote online by Lori Deschene:

“Life is all about balance. You don’t always need to be getting stuff done. Sometimes it’s perfectly okay, and absolutely necessary to shut down, kick back and do nothing.”

I hope this weekend will allow you some time to just connect and “do nothing” with your child. Believe it or not, this will be time well spent and pay huge dividends in their success as we wind down the year and gear up for yet another hectic week here at school.

Thank you for all you do for our children attending Streetsboro City Schools!

Go Rockets!
