Good morning, and welcome to the weekend!
First off, congratulations to our High School Football Team for beating Alliance last night at the first home game, 37-28. Way to go!
As I have traveled around the schools this week, our students have adjusted well to the school day schedule and are actively engaged in class. Everyone “got down to business” quicker this year than in the previous few – with focus and determination. I am hopeful this is a sign that we are finally back to normal following the pandemic. Great things are on the horizon for our entire district!
Unfortunately, we are beginning to see a slight uptick in COVID-19 cases around the district. The protocols that were in place last year remain the same. A chart for your reference can be found online at our website, and the guidelines for if you test positive remain the same:
- Stay home and isolate yourself for five (5) days.
- If symptoms improve, return to school AND mask for five (5) days.
- If you still have a fever after five days, stay home until your fever is gone AND your symptoms have improved.
As we track towards flu season, remember if you are not feeling well, mask up and stay home. Also, follow proper hand hygiene by washing your hands and sanitizing them. Let’s work together to make this the healthiest year we have had in recent memory.

Labor Day 2023
As always, I hope everyone has a beautiful long weekend, and remember, school isn’t in session on Monday, September 4. Be safe, and Go Rockets!
Sincerely,
