Good evening and welcome to the weekend!
Can you believe we are almost to the Winter Recess? It always seems like the days between Thanksgiving and Winter Recess fly by. For many of us though, those final few days prior to a break seem to take forever due to everything that needs accomplished. At least the weather has been in our favor!
As we track towards the end of the work week, I wanted to share a new process we have implemented to keep our district’s employees safer in their email inbox. Our Operations Department created a new process to search for and contact staff members via the website. This was in response to multiple attempts over the past few months to compromise staff email accounts.
You can see the new staff contact web page here: https://www.scsrockets.org/staff-contact/
Once you complete and submit the form, the staff member receives an email with all the details, including the your preferred email address and response format. This new process is active today and was presented to the BOE last night. You can see the introduction here if you’d like: https://youtu.be/O203L5h8tGA?t=4021
If you have any questions regarding this new process, please feel free to reach out to your child’s building principal and they can help.
On another note, we have been experiencing a high number of students and staff who are getting sick. Because of this, I would like to remind you that if you are sick, PLEASE STAY HOME.
When you are ready to return to school, please consider wearing a mask until you are completely symptom-free. By doing this, you will help to protect others from getting sick and keep students and staff in school.
Finally, over the next week and throughout the break, there will be many activities for your family to enjoy. Please check with each of your child’s building communications to see a list of upcoming activities and athletic events.
I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing weekend ready to return to school rested. Next week will be an exciting end to an eventful first semester of learning. Take care and GO ROCKETS!!!
