🚀 Rocket Updates – April 30th, 2021

Good afternoon Rocket Families,

I hope this message finds you well and ready for a relaxing weekend. Can you believe the final four weeks of school are upon us? What a year this has been!

With all of the challenges our students, staff and families have faced, I could not be more proud of how everyone responded. This year has certainly been one for the books.

✅ On Wednesday of this week, I announced that beginning next Monday, May 3rd, all students in Grades K-8 who have been in-person learning will return to school five days a week for the remainder of the school year.

😊 Our staff is excited to have our students return for five days of instruction and I am sure the final four weeks will fly by. Please remember our high school students will remain on their current schedule through the conclusion of the school year.

🧪 On another note, I have COVID test kits available for students at the Board Office. Should you suspect your student or a family member might have COVID, feel free to contact me at the board office and I can assign a test kit to you.

All that is required is the birthdate of the person who is taking the test as well as an email address. I also ask that the result is reported back to me (this is of course confidential). Test kits are also available at many local drug stores too.

💉 Finally, we have been asked by our local health departments to reach out to the school community and remind everyone 16 years and older there are vaccines available.

While receiving the vaccination is a personal choice, having more people receive the vaccine may increase our chance of returning to school next year with fewer restrictions.

If you need information on where to get a free vaccination, please go to the following link: https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/covid-19-vaccination-program/get-the-shot

In closing I would like to remind everyone that the month of May will be very busy with many special events and activities scheduled. Please make sure you read all correspondences sent by your child’s building principal.

Have a super weekend and Go Rockets!
