SCS | Annual Notification to the Public | Asbestos | 26 MAY 2022

As required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), Streetsboro City School District has had our facilities inspected for friable asbestos.

AHERA requires that notifications be given annually to each affected building regarding activities involving asbestos in your respective building in the district.

Streetsboro City Schools has had asbestos management plans prepared for all school buildings in the district.

These plans are available for your inspection Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Annex Building, 1951 Annalane Drive, or by calling your school’s main office to make an appointment during normal school hours.

Two semi-annual surveillance inspections are conducted in each school building as required by AHERA regulations. This school year we had our Triennial AHERA inspection. At this time, the conditions of any asbestos are noted along with any change in conditions that may have occurred.

Should you have any questions concerning asbestos located in your building, please feel free to contact me at 330-626-8089 as I am the designated person for the Streetsboro City School District.
Sincerely,

Andreas Johansson
Director of Operations
