We’re excited for you to meet our Assistant Superintendent Aireane Curtis. Mrs. Curtis works at the Board Office and oversees curriculum, gifted services, district assessment, and many other areas of daily operations for the district.
Mrs. Curtis grew up in Bellefontaine Ohio, a small farming town in western Ohio. She has taught in the Southwestern City Schools, Cleveland Municipal Schools and Streetsboro City Schools. She worked as a curriculum consultant for both the Portage County and Cuyahoga County Educational Service Centers before returning to Streetsboro. Since returning, Mrs. Curtis has served the role as curriculum director and now assistant superintendent.
Mrs. Curtis received her undergraduate degree at Otterbein College (now University) in Westerville, Ohio. She received her Masters of Education from Kent State University as a Curriculum Specialist. Through additional coursework, Mrs. Curtis earned her superintendents license from Salem International University and her gifted endorsement from the University of Cincinnati.
In her free time, Mrs. Curtis enjoys scrapbooking, playing tennis, watching soccer games and playing taxi driver to her children. She lives with her husband Clay, three children Mitchell, Reilly and Mallory and their dog Hoover.
