This week we are excited to implement a new all-call system in order to better be able to communicate important information in a timely manner. The new system will allow us to send voice messages, text-to-speech messages, text messages, emails, and social media posts all from one platform.
With the new platform, the district will be able to tailor the recipient group to a much more precise audience based on available data. For example, messages pertaining to only one grade level, or one bus, are now a reality. We will begin using the new platform to inform you about meal balances and attendance as well.
Over the next few days you will receive all-calls reminding you of the switch, and the need to check your phone for text messages from the new platform. You will be able to opt-out of text messaging if you so choose.
On Friday May 24th, 2019 at 4:30 PM EST the platform will launch the text message capability. Please be on the lookout for a message from the platform indicating that you have been subscribed. You will have to actively OPT-IN to stay subscribed.
If you have any questions, please contact the Board Office during normal business hours, or check the FAQ on the website.
How do I proactively “Opt-In” to receive text messages?
- Simply text “Y” to 67587 from each wireless device they wish to receive texts on.
