As of July 1, 2019 a new all-call system is in effect for Streetsboro City Schools. There are a few particulars to note, and two numbers to store in your phone.
What number will you call from?
You will receive telephone calls from the all-call system using the number (330) 732-5049. Please add it to your contacts, and make sure you don’t block it on your device.
What short-code is used for text/SMS?
All communication from Streetsboro City Schools in text/SMS format will come from the shortcode 67587, not a phone number. The shortcode is used in the telephony industry to deliver messages more securely, and faster. See below how to opt-in to text messaging any time.
Why a new system?
The new system will allow us to send voice messages, text-to-speech messages, text messages, emails, and social media posts all from one platform.
With the new platform, the district will be able to tailor the recipient group to a much more precise audience based on available data. For example, messages pertaining to only one grade level, or one bus, are now a reality. We will begin using the new platform to inform you about meal balances and attendance as well.
How do I proactively “Opt-In” to receive text messages?
Simply text “Y” to 67587 from each wireless device they wish to receive texts on.
