August 10, 2020 – The Nutrition Group, a leader in K-12 food management, is pleased to announce that it is the official Food Service Provider of Streetsboro City Schools.

“We’re thrilled to be launching off in the Rockets’ universe and are excited to provide nutritious meals to all students–no matter how the return to school may look,” said Jessica Anzelone, Managing Director of The Nutrition Group, “creating a safe and healthy atmosphere with the highest quality food service has always been our top priority, and we’re so elated to welcome students back!

Since Covid closed the hatch on in-person schooling this past March, The Nutrition Group safely served 10 million nutritious meals to-go in 241 school districts across 6 states. “It was an honor serving our students while standing alongside and caring for our essential foodservice workers,” added Anzelone.

The Nutrition Group is working diligently during these unfamiliar times to ensure the safest atmosphere for everyone. Strict personal health standards will be maintained, including daily temperature checks, face coverings, frequent hand washing, and glove usage. In addition, all food service operations will be contactless. “It will be our pleasure to serve their students,” said Nancy Kohl, President of The Nutrition Group, “our teams are working daily to explore fun, creative ways to show our love and care for every student.”

Heath Urbaniak, Food Service Director, will be dedicated to Streetsboro City Schools. The Nutrition Group’s team of chefs and dietitians review national standards and develop menus that exceed guidelines. The Nutrition Group also works to maximize student participation in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs.

“Our commitment and focus remain providing students access to healthy, nutritious and wholesome meals while assuring the utmost food safety without compromising quality,” said Nancy Kohl. “While things may look and feel different for students in terms of where they eat as we strive to maintain social distancing, one thing will remain unchanged – quality, nutritious meals that they, and you, can count on for breakfast and lunch.”
