Thanks to a grant awarded in the amount of $3,270 to Mrs. Thomson (District Librarian and Media Specialist) by the Streetsboro Educational Foundation, students now have the opportunity to go on Google Expeditions using (VR) virtual reality goggles.

Google expeditions allow students to travel around the world and back in time to experience things in an interactive way. So far students in our district have traveled inside a cell, to Uruguay, the Middle Ages, outer space, and Africa.

This technology is very engaging and is just one more way to make education come alive for students. It is Mrs. Thomson’s hope to secure more funding to bring even more VR goggles into the district.
