Streetsboro City Schools community,
We hope this message finds everyone safe and in good spirits despite the recent storm that impacted our community. Our primary concern is, and always has been, the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families.
Building Inspections and Damages
Our dedicated team swiftly assessed all school buildings and facilities after the storm. We are relieved to report that there have been no significant damages, thanks to our proactive measures and robust infrastructure. Some minor issues were identified and are currently being addressed, but rest assured, all buildings are safe for occupancy.
Awaiting Power Restoration
We’re awaiting the full restoration of electricity to all our school buildings. Like many in the community, our schools have experienced power outages, which have affected our operations. We’re in constant communication with the local utility companies, and they are working diligently to restore power as soon as possible.
We aim to resume instruction and normal school activities promptly once we have a consistent power supply. We understand the importance of continuity in our students’ education, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges.
Please note that our students’ and staff’s safety and comfort is paramount. If power is not restored by the end of Sunday afternoon, we will communicate any necessary schedule changes or alternative plans.
Please check our official website, social media channels, and registered email for the latest updates and urgent announcements. We’ll be sending out regular communications to keep everyone informed.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during these times. Together, as a community, we have faced and overcome challenges, and this time is no different. We look forward to brighter days and the hum of activity filling our school halls again.
Stay safe and take care,
Streetsboro City Schools Administration
