Streetsboro High School School Zone Sign Update

STREETSBORO – September 14, 2023 – The Streetsboro School District wishes to inform parents and guardians of Streetsboro High School students about a recent incident involving one of our school zone signs.

In the summer of 2023, the school zone sign located eastbound on ST RT 14, north of the high school, was accidentally hit and suffered significant damage from a construction vehicle.

Through combined efforts between the school district and the police department, and the city services team, the district has already received compensation from the party’s insurance provider. With the funds secured, we have contracted professional services to replace the sign from a 3rd party vendor that both the school district and city services use.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, some parts required for the replacement are currently on backorder. The current estimate for the arrival of these parts is December 2023.

We kindly request all parents, guardians, and drivers in the vicinity to exercise extra caution during arrival and dismissal times at the high school.

The safety of our students remains our top priority. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we work diligently to restore the school zone sign.

For any further questions or concerns, please get in touch with the Streetsboro School District’s Operations Team at ops@scsrockets.org

Thank you for your continued support.
