September is National Recovery Month. Sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Recovery Month is a time to increase awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders and celebrate people living in recovery.
The Five Year Forecast is a tool used for district planning. The forecast reflects three years of historical data regarding revenue and expenditures, plus an additional five years of forecasted data. Assumptions based on TPP phase out assume that mandates do not change during the forecast period. This forecast is built on assumptions that can and will change over time.
Recognizing the importance of discussing school district finances, the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) has developed this guide to assist teachers, administrators, Boards of Education, community members or other individuals in developing a general understanding of a school district’s five-year forecast.
Rockets it’s time to get your walking shoes on! The 5th annual Walk-a-Thon is coming – Friday, September 28th! This is your chance to have fun with your friends, get fit, and help make this a great year for Streetsboro Elementary. With everyone’s help, we can make the Walk-a-Thon a fun day for the whole school and the ONLY major fundraiser of the year!
This year Streetsboro Elementary is trying something new! On Friday, September 28 th we will be holding our fifth
Walk-a-Thon! Students will walk laps on the Middle School track and participate in some fun physical activities during the
school day to help raise money for the school.

With the move to the NEW Middle School, Lindsay Zenker moved over from Henry Defer Intermediate School to become the new Assistant Principal at Streetsboro Middle School. She works closely with Principal Vincent Suber and School Counselor Monica Holzapfel to serve all the students’ needs.
Due to road closures from flooding, buses 34, 32, 14, and 10 will likely run late this afternoon. Hopefully the flooding subsides prior to dismissal.
We’re excited to have Mr. Matt Bryan onboard as our new Principal at Henry Defer Intermediate School, where he leads our staff and students grades 4-5.
We’re excited for you to meet our Assistant Superintendent Aireane Curtis. Mrs. Curtis works at the Board Office and oversees curriculum, gifted services, district assessment, and many other areas of daily operations for the district.
