Students at Streetsboro Elementary are getting the chance to exercise both their bodies and their minds thanks to Library Aide Mrs. Barb Potkay. Always looking for creative ways to make reading fun, Mrs. Potkay recently purchased two new exercise bikes for the school library—designed especially for students to ride while they read!
These “read and ride” stations give students a chance to move while enjoying their favorite books, helping improve focus, engagement, and overall wellness. Mrs. Potkay hopes the bikes will inspire students who might struggle to sit still during reading time and encourage everyone to see that reading and movement can go hand in hand.
