We are proud to share that Streetsboro High School (SHS) has been named to the AP® School Honor Roll for the 2024–25 school year, a recognition that celebrates schools that expand access to Advanced Placement coursework while supporting students on the path to college and career success.

This honor reflects years of work from our AP teachers, counselors, students, and families who continue to push academically, take on rigorous coursework, and support one another through challenging and rewarding learning experiences.

As the College Board noted, schools on the Honor Roll demonstrate a commitment to increasing AP participation, improving student performance, and helping students build the skills and confidence needed for college-level work.

Research from the College Board shows that students who take AP courses are more likely to attend college, graduate on time, and enter college with both confidence and momentum. Even when students do not earn college credit, AP coursework provides valuable exposure to college-level expectations and strengthens our school’s college-going culture.

At SHS, we have continued to expand AP opportunities for all students, offering a strong lineup of courses across content areas and ensuring access for students who may not have traditionally enrolled in AP coursework. This year, SHS saw increases in AP enrollment, strong performance on AP exams, and continued interest from students eager to take on new academic challenges.

Being named to the AP School Honor Roll is a direct reflection of the work taking place across the building — teachers refining instruction and providing support, counselors guiding students into the right courses, and families encouraging academic growth and perseverance. Most importantly, it reflects the dedication of our students who are willing to challenge themselves and pursue long-term goals.

“We want to thank our AP teachers for their leadership and expertise, our counselors for expanding access and supporting scheduling pathways, and our students for embracing academic rigor and representing Rocket Nation with pride,” said Streetsboro High School Principal Patrick Griffis.

SHS will continue to build and expand advanced coursework offerings and maintain a strong AP culture that prepares students for what comes next — college, careers, and life beyond high school.

Congratulations to our students, staff, and families — and thank you for helping make Streetsboro High School a place where students rise to the challenge.
