Streetsboro High School (SHS) proudly hosted its annual Career Fair on Wednesday, March 18, providing an outstanding opportunity for our students to explore future pathways and make meaningful connections. A wide-angle view of a career fair filling the gymnasium of a school whose wall reads "Home of the Rockets." Students browse dozens of employer booths lining the court, with championship banners, an American flag, and basketball hoops visible overhead. In partnership with the Streetsboro Economic Development Department and Portage County Job and Family Services, the district welcomed over 30 businesses, industries, and employers to engage directly with the  junior and senior classes.

This event continues to be a valuable experience for our students, as it exposes them to the wide variety of career opportunities available right here in our city and surrounding communities. From skilled trades to healthcare, business, and public service, students were able to ask questions, learn about career pathways, and begin envisioning their futures beyond high school.

Equally as important, the career fair allows local employers to connect with our talented students, helping to build relationships and identify potential future employees. It’s truly a win-win for both SHS students and the larger Streetsboro community.

Events like this are central to the district's strategic plan, connecting students with real-world opportunities that build college and career readiness. By building strong partnerships with local businesses and providing students with real-world exposure to career pathways, Streetsboro is helping develop clear, informed plans for their future while aligning their interests with workforce needs.

The district is incredibly grateful to its partners and all participating organizations for investing in the students and helping make this event such a success. This is SHS in action–building connections, creating opportunities, and preparing our students for life after graduation.
