Streetsboro City Schools will host Literacy Under the Lights, a free community event, on April 23 at Streetsboro High School Stadium from 6- 8p.m.
The event is open to children from birth through fifth grade and their families. Attendees who register by April 10 will receive free dinner for the whole family, storytelling, hands-on activities led by district teaching staff, and family-friendly programming designed to support reading growth and provide literacy activities in fun and exciting ways across all age groups.
Additionally, all children who attend will receive a free book, and the district’s media specialist and PTA are teaming up for a Scholastic Buy One-Get One Free Book Fair, which will be on site for the event. All event costs are funded through Title I federal education funding for family and community engagement.
Community members are encouraged to RSVP by Friday, April 10, to secure their spot. A QR code is available on promotional materials to register. Even if families register after the deadline they are welcomed to attend, but those who register by April 10 will be guaranteed dinner.
