Streetsboro High School sophomore Jarreau “Roro” Walker made history last weekend, securing the Division II 106-pound state title at the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Columbus. His dominant performance throughout the tournament showcased his dedication, skill, and determination.
Walker sealed his championship victory with an 11-3 major decision over Jonathan Alder’s Rayce Watson, capping off an undefeated season. His path to the title was nothing short of impressive—he opened the tournament with a technical fall, followed by two major decision wins, outscoring his opponents by a combined 53 points. In the semifinals, he powered through a tough matchup against Beaver Local’s Justuce Fisher, earning a commanding 21-8 victory to punch his ticket to the finals.
