Three Streetsboro wrestlers competed at the OHSAA Division ll State Tournament in Columbus March 13-15. They represented their school and community with standout performances at the highest level. The team finished 15th overall, a testament to the program’s continued growth and the dedication of its athletes.

Juniors Jarreau “RoRo” Walker (113) and Johnny Bollinger (106), along with freshman Avery Conroy (175), earned their spots at the state tournament after finishing in the top four of their respective weight classes at the district tournament held at Kenston. Walker captured a district title, Conroy secured a runner-up finish, and Bollinger placed fourth to advance. Each of these student athletes proved themselves among the best in their division and earned a spot in the state tournament.

In Columbus, Walker claimed his second State Championship with a 4-3 win over his

opponent from St. Vincent-St. Mary, while Conroy delivered an impressive performance to finish

sixth and earn a spot on the podium. Bollinger also gained valuable experience competing at the state level and made Streetsboro proud.

With all three wrestlers expected to return next season, the team looks ahead to another strong

showing. Walker, now a two-time state champion, sets his sights on capturing a third state championship.

Congratulations to Walker, Bollinger, Conroy and the entire Streetsboro wrestling program on an outstanding season.
