At Henry Defer Intermediate School, Miss Fornes and Mr. Madden’s classes threw a surprise party for Mrs. Meisinger’s retirement. We’re all going to miss her smiles and the way she lovingly supported students in the classrooms every day.
This year’s Field Day at Streetsboro Elementary School was a complete success! The weather was perfect, the activities were a blast, and everyone had such a great time. This is the best time of year where everyone can enjoy each other’s company, celebrate the end of a successful school year, and prepare for some summertime fun. It has been a joy to watch the SES kids grow this year in their learning and friendship-making. This is the best place to find a “forever friend.”
5th graders visited Streetsboro Middle School for transition day last week! Students toured the building, heard from staff and student leaders, and got a head start on feeling confident and excited about 6th grade.
Ms. Johnston's math students at SMS built an Animal Zoo to explore volume and surface area! Using 3D shapes, students designed habitats for everything from giraffes to penguins while combining math, creativity, and teamwork. Geometry never looked so fun!
We had parents come in last week as guest readers for “One Book, One School”. We’re so grateful to have such supportive families who will take time out of their day to join us! Other guest readers this week included firefighters, police officers, 2nd and 6th grade teachers, and district administrators.
The Fiscal Integrity Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 5:30 PM has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a future date. Additional information regarding the rescheduled meeting will be shared once it has been finalized.
First grade students showcased their school spirit by enjoying an 80’s day last week. We think they “nailed it”! Our families also continued to visit and read stories to our students as part of Rockets Read Together. This is the best time of year to enjoy reading, family, and friendship!
Congratulations to Adrian Hemphill for designing the cover of this year’s SES yearbook! We are so excited to showcase his work for everyone to enjoy.
