Streetsboro High School students have been having a great time learning the game of pickleball in Physical Education classes!

As one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, pickleball has provided a fun and engaging way for students to stay active while developing new skills.

Throughout the unit, students have been learning the rules, strategies, and fundamentals of the game, all while building teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. It’s been great to see students encouraging one another, competing in a positive way, and gaining confidence as they improve.

We love seeing our students try new activities and find ways to stay active—and pickleball has definitely been a hit!

Superintendent Cindy Deevers visits the Middle School in the latest episode of Hallway to Hallway to celebrate a remarkable milestone with Principal Weppler.

This week, Streetsboro High School had the opportunity to host two outstanding assemblies focused on student leadership and the impact our students can have on one another.

A major focus of these assemblies was encouraging students to begin thinking about—and signing up for—leadership opportunities for next school year.

SHS students learned about a variety of ways they can get involved, including mentoring peers, participating in student leadership groups, supporting school initiatives, and serving as role models within our building.

These opportunities are designed to give students a voice while also allowing them to make a meaningful difference in the success of others.

From genetic mutations to Honors Algebra II to AP Computer Science, students are diving deep into complex concepts with focus and collaboration. High expectations and real-world relevance are driving outstanding work in our classrooms.

During Math Awareness Month Streetsboro classrooms are buzzing with problem-solving and critical thinking! From geometry to algebra, we're celebrating how math shapes our world and prepares our students for future success! 

The SMS 3v3 PBIS event was a hit! Students and staff showed off their skills on the court, and the student team pulled off a major upset, sending fans into a frenzy!

Mrs. Nowicki's 7th graders used Oreo cookies to model the phases of the moon. Students twisted apart cookies and shaped the cream to represent each lunar phase. Delicious and educational!

5th graders are tackling division using a strategy called partial quotients, with plenty of hands-on practice and teacher support along the way!

Mrs. Holtz's WIN group is mastering vowel teams like "ew" and how they sound in multisyllabic words. Great work!
