A big THANK YOU to Bulten for helping Streetsboro students start the school year ready to learn!

Bulten generously donated hundreds of school supplies, including notebooks, folders, crayons, markers, pencils, backpacks, glue, scissors, and much more. The donation also included two laptops for our students.

We are grateful to have community partners who step up to support our students and families. Thank you, Bulten, for your generosity and for making a difference in Streetsboro City Schools!

Congratulations to Ms. Plassard and Mr. Culver! Ms. Plassard will be returning in the fall with a new name–Mrs. Budner! Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! Mr. Culver is bidding us farewell as he retires from education. We will miss you and we hope you enjoy the days to come.

The Rocketman Summit brought students together for an inspiring day of leadership, mentorship, teamwork, and personal growth. Through fun activities, meaningful conversations, and hands-on experiences, students were encouraged to boost their confidence, build stronger relationships, and develop the skills to become positive leaders both in school and in their community.

Congratulations to our second-grade students who earned this year’s Watch Me Grow awards. Based upon our MAP benchmark assessments, these students grew at the 90th percentile or above in either reading, math, or both! This is such a great accomplishment and we were excited to celebrate! Thank you to all of our teachers and parents for their hard work and partnership in helping all of our children attain high levels of success!

HDI celebrated three staff members who are retiring at the end of this year. Mrs. Meisinger (classroom aide), Mrs. Sampson (library aide), and Mrs. Ondash (4th grade teacher) will all be greatly missed!

At Henry Defer Intermediate School, Miss Fornes and Mr. Madden’s classes threw a surprise party for Mrs. Meisinger’s retirement. We’re all going to miss her smiles and the way she lovingly supported students in the classrooms every day.

This year’s Field Day at Streetsboro Elementary School was a complete success! The weather was perfect, the activities were a blast, and everyone had such a great time. This is the best time of year where everyone can enjoy each other’s company, celebrate the end of a successful school year, and prepare for some summertime fun. It has been a joy to watch the SES kids grow this year in their learning and friendship-making. This is the best place to find a “forever friend.”

5th graders visited Streetsboro Middle School for transition day last week! Students toured the building, heard from staff and student leaders, and got a head start on feeling confident and excited about 6th grade.

Ms. Johnston's math students at SMS built an Animal Zoo to explore volume and surface area! Using 3D shapes, students designed habitats for everything from giraffes to penguins while combining math, creativity, and teamwork. Geometry never looked so fun!
